Cheating is typically understood as employing unauthorized or unfair tactics to gain an edge over other players. This can involve using hacks or cheats to enhance performance in combat or resource collection, as well as exploiting glitches to access areas or resources that should not be reachable.

Avoid using any third-party programs, whether paid or free, that offer an unfair advantage in the game.

This also includes scripts that can execute actions that are otherwise impossible within the game.

According to the FacePunch Terms of Service:
v. Cheating: creating, using, distributing, or making available cheats, exploits, automation software, bots, hacks, spiders, spyware, scripts, trainers, extraction tools, mining, or any other software that interacts with or impacts the Facepunch Services in any manner. Mods are permitted as long as they comply with these rules, the Fan Content Guidelines (www.facepunch.com/legal/ugc/), and the Modding Guidelines (www.facepunch.com/legal/modding).

🔒 Alternate Accounts & Ban Rules

It is strictly prohibited to bypass a ban on our servers by creating an alternate account. Engaging in this behavior will result in additional bans. Please serve your designated ban time if you are banned.

Any alternate accounts associated with Rust EAC Game Bans that are less than 500 days old will also be banned from our servers.

Players with a history of cheating may be banned at our discretion, regardless of when their previous ban occurred.

You are fully responsible for the security of your account and any bans applied to it. Your account is for personal use only; do not share it or log in using another person's account, even with their permission.

🚫 Cross-Game Ban Policy

Players who have received bans from any game other than Rust within the past 180 days are prohibited from accessing SnowDiablo Rust.

Accounts that violate this policy will be automatically kicked, and appeals will not be considered under any circumstances.

You are fully responsible for the security of your account and any bans that may be applied to it. Your account is for personal use only; do not share it or log in using another person's account, even with their permission.

⚠️ Exploits & Unauthorized Software

Do not take advantage of unintended game mechanics to gain an unfair edge.

This includes, but is not limited to: accessing restricted areas, modifying game objects to see or shoot through barriers not intended for interaction, and using graphical modifications outside the game’s standard settings.

Players must not use any automated programs, bots, scripts, extraction tools, mining software, or any other applications that interact with or affect FacePunch Services.

Those found in violation will face immediate bans.

📋 General Rules

1️⃣ General

SnowDiabloRust follows all FacePunch and Steam Terms of Service, especially regarding in-game communication. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy for infractions, which may lead to muting or bans.

2️⃣ Chat Rules

Racism and homophobia are strictly prohibited. Measures are in place to identify and penalize such language. Circumventing these measures will result in escalating consequences, including potential bans. Spamming may lead to chat restrictions.

3️⃣ Doxing

Sharing personal information will result in an immediate and permanent ban. Any non-game-related information revealed in-game is considered doxing. Even “fake” information shared as a joke will be treated seriously.

4️⃣ DDoS Threats

Threats of DDoS attacks are taken seriously and may lead to legal action. We will cooperate with French and European law enforcement if necessary.

5️⃣ Real-Life Threats

Context matters when assessing threats. Vulgar language is generally not considered a real threat, but intentions to locate someone outside the game or engage in harmful actions should be reported immediately.

6️⃣ Server & Admin Defamation

Staff members are available to assist you. If you are intentionally abusive towards them, expect moderation consequences. Impersonating staff to mislead players or damage the reputation of SnowDiabloRust may result in moderation actions. Negative comments about SnowDiabloRust or its staff are unacceptable and may lead to disciplinary measures. For any server-related complaints, submit a support ticket.

🚫 Stream Sniping

Stream sniping is the act of watching another player's live stream to gain an unfair advantage, such as ambushing them, stealing their loot, or learning their strategies. This behavior is considered cheating and can disrupt the gameplay experience for streamers.

Additionally, deliberately identifying content creators who are not using their real names may also lead to moderation action.

To ensure a fair and enjoyable game for all, players found violating this rule may face warnings, temporary bans, or permanent moderation consequences depending on the severity.

⚠️ Cheating by Association

Associating with players who cheat or evade bans—whether through friendships, regular communication, or teamwork—is considered supporting unfair practices. This is regarded as cheating by association, implying awareness or complicity in dishonest actions.

Players found to have such connections may face consequences, ranging from warnings to bans, depending on their level of involvement. While we do not expect players to investigate every teammate, a strict zero-tolerance policy is enforced for cheating or ban evasion. Clear evidence of support for these actions will result in bans.
